Chinese New Year
This may fall in early February, but the week leading up to Chinese New Year in late January is sure to bring a range of cultural treats and events to the streets of Chinatown. Burns Night
Although on the other side of the country, Scottish heritage is rife in London. Every year, Burns Night, a celebration of Scottish culture is celebrated nationwide on the 25th of January. Inspired by the Scottish poet Robert Burns, who is widely known as one Scotland’s greatest poets, Burns Night falls on the birthday of this great lyricist. Every year, the 25th sees traditional Scottish feasts and poems recited in a night of revelry, and definitely soaked in Scotch.
