The Jugged Hare
The Jugged Hare, on the corner of Chiswell Street and Silk Street in the City, was part of the old Whitbread brewery (c.1748) and formerly The King’s Head pub.
The Jugged Hare takes its name from a famous 18th century recipe created by Hannah Glasse, the UK’s first and foremost domestic goddess. With a focus on seasonal British dishes prepared using traditional cooking methods and independent boutique wines, The Jugged Hare boasts a handsome pub, a spacious dining room complete with an open theatre-style kitchen and a stunning vaulted private room.
